Sahodaran's Founder Director Mr. Sunil Menon has got honorary doctorate for his 25 years Social work in 2016. Dr. Sunil Menon. C is the Founder and Director of the organization. He has been working towards the development and betterment of MSM/LGBT/transgender community of Chennai since 28 years. He is South India's first openly gay person and is a successful and established fashion show choreographer.
He has an M.A. in ANTHROPOLOGY with the First Class/First Rank from University of Madras (19881990), previous to that he received his
B.Sc. in Zoology with First Class from Vivekananda College, University of Madras (198487) and his Diplome de Langue Francaise at Alliance Francaise de Madras(198791). He is a recipient of the L.K. AnanthaKrishna Iyer Award for the year 1990 for Best student in Anthropology

Jaya is the General Manager.
Jaya is the General Manager of Sahodaran, having grown to that position from the humble designation of Peer Educator, which is the entry level job role for many projects in Sahodaran. She has more than 20 years of experience in the field of HIV/AIDS prevention and care among MSM& TG women communities. Recognising her experience, dedication and community service, she was selected as one of the few by the American Consulate in India to go on the IVLP learning programme to visit various LGBTIQA+ communities and welfare organisations in USA in 2016. She was also sent to Bangladesh for the AIDS conference in 2017 on scholarship . She was sent to Thailand by VHS in 2017 to take part in the ToT program for LGBTQ community members. She is wholly dedicated to the welfare of the LGBTIQA+ community in India.
